A History of Coppins
Coppins Established 1983
Coppins story began over 50 years ago; husband and wife John and Ann Coppin moved from London to Wiltshire with their young family. They soon set up a fully functioning workshop in Bradford-on-Avon. From these small beginnings, they carried out jewellery repairs and commissions and grew the business successfully within a short period. Their passion and vision for an artisan showroom and workshop soon became a reality.
In 1983, John and Ann opened Coppins in the historic market town of Corsham with a modest stock level and a handful of staff members; they quickly grew the business and became very successful, creating a reputation for Wiltshire’s leading jewellers and delivering a first-class customer service. John continues to work in the business to this day – his incredible passion for his work and his customers is a joy to behold.
Our Passion
At Coppins, our passion lies in designing and creating exquisite jewellery pieces. We make bespoke pieces using the finest gems and precious metals sourced from around the world. Our beautiful jewels combine traditional methods and techniques to melt gold and forge metal with modern technology, such as laser welding techniques, microscopes and computer-aided design work, which guarantee a 100% accuracy rate.
Our attention to detail is second to none. Our craftsmanship has earned us a reputation as one of Wiltshire’s leading independent jewellers – Coppins has been a family-run business located in the historic market town of Corsham for nearly 40 years.

We are proud of our in-house workshop; our highly skilled and talented team of designers, goldsmiths, silversmiths and stone setters are passionate about designing and making fine jewellery pieces. In addition, our team are also passionate about the family-run business and delivering valuable customer experiences; we have a reputation for providing a first-class customer experience again and again.
Daisy Coppin, DGA
Daisy Coppin, DGA, a qualified diamond and gemstone expert and talented designer, heads up the Coppins team. As a family-run business, Daisy has been involved from a young age, making her first bangle with the guidance of her father, John, aged 8. Today, Daisy regularly heads to gemological conferences and international trade exhibitions (from Europe to Asia), as well as visiting UK-based stone suppliers to purchase fine diamonds and precious gemstones, fuelling inspiration for the in-house team and, of course, her customers.
